A small surface holding an entire landscape. Textures of leaves towering over my head as I notice the tree covered in lush mosses. How rarely we stop and think about the environment that surrounds us and every thing, allowing it to flourish. This painting reflects the small moments we may miss along the way when we’re not looking closely.

Textures of tree bark, mosses inhabiting the crevices, climbing and expanding their territory within. Reminding us that little moments hold greater power than we stop to notice. Perhaps that’s what we’re searching for when we gather objects for our home, filling our sanctuary with intention.

Closing my eyes and imagining the moment I came across this tree. I remember hearing sounds of howling winds, scent of wet leaves and branches in the air and softness of the mosses.
